Mühltal, April 11th 2004, 24.00 Dear Debbie, I was worried that another terrible terrorist attack would take place during the Easter / Pessach weekend, but fortunately this did not happen. Neither in Rome, nor in Jerusalem. Nevertheless, things could be better, I am particularly thinking of Iraq where Islamic extremists are fighting against democracy and reconstruction by taking hostages and brutally killing those who want to help. We can only hope that these elements will soon be stopped. I do not remember the exact words, but today the Pope said something like: It is our culture of life against their philosophy of death.
