This is what I wrote two years ago and I think it is still true today:
On a day like today I wonder: When will we finally stop blaming ourselves or even worse blaming the victims? The Towers were too high and maybe our jeans too tight and skirts too short. Our life-style too Western, Coca Cola too sweet and Hamburgers too fat. So what?
WE LOVE OUR WAY OF LIVING AND WE WILL NOT CHANGE IT!
That should be the promise given to Islamists on a day like today.
For our own sake and out of respect for the victims.
And on a day like today I want to thank the men and women in uniform who are fighting out there to protect us.
