The perfect Immigrant II

My dream immigrant to Germany has read some of these SPON articles about the experiences of foreigners living in Germany and is now scared of coming here. Thank you SPON!

Now, I do not want to lure anyone into this country without admitting that, yes, there is a lot of discrimination going on in Germany.

Take for example, our bus-drivers in Darmstadt. They are the worst discriminators! When you`re late and have to run for a bus, you`d first, better be a woman and second, dressed to kill! Then they are likely to wait. If you are a man, you`d better put on your running-shoes ;-)

Same with discos! Even as a woman you might be discriminated: In a tight breath-taking dress and high heels, you`re more likely to be let in, than if you are, let`s say, wearing a pullover two sizes too large that reaches down to your knees …

I could go on enumerating these examples of daily discrimination. Living in Germany really sometimes feels like “satan in heaven”, no doubt.

So foreigner, if you are not willing to take that risk, you`d better not come. But believe me, if I was with you, the bus would wait and the disco would be open ;-)
