Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President, that is how I started a letter five years ago. Today it is a song by PINK which is played by German radio stations day and night carrying a somewhat different message. See lyrics here.

Some radio station in Germany must have alleged this song was being censored in the U.S. The rumour spread and Pink headed for Gold in Germany.

Initially, she had stated this song would never be released as a single because it was too important to be perceived as a publicity stunt. It was, however, released in Europe and Australia.

When it comes to selling singles, one should never say never, right?

(…) How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye? (…)
