Germans don`t wanna stay home - Deutsche wollen nicht zu Hause bleiben

Germans do not like the proposals of politicians telling them to stay at home. BILD asks today on page 1: “Shall we alone save the world?” and complains: “We shall not fly any more! But the others go on polluting the air”
On page 8, they have the examples: “The Americans refuse signing the Kyoto protocol”, [...]

Germans stay at home! - Deutsche bleibt zu Hause!

German politicians seem to have found the solution to climate change:
Instead of travelling far by plane, Germans shall spend their holidays in Germany. Sylt instead of Seychelles, Bavaria instead of Bahamas.
Well, at least the British tourists will be delighted, no more fighting for the deck-chairs at the pool …
And in summer we will all sing:

The American Ambassador in Germany, William Timken, has been present in the German media today. He is running a column in today`s WELT and is even asking an almost provocating question:
The US-economy has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 7,5 percent. How come without even having signed the Kyoto Protocol?
